SuppSpy.co.nz – a free consumer-focused website for finding the lowest priced supplements, has launched in New Zealand, and is rapidly gaining popularity nationwide within health and fitness crowds.

The concept, spearheaded by Wellington-based entrepreneurs Hadley Bellam and Dwayne Kirkwood, was born in early 2017. The pair were tired of sorting through e-mails and social media to find the best deals when buying protein bars – so they decided to take matters into their own hands by getting all supplement retailers and prices into one online space.

Their other goal was to compare similar supplements to make better choices, especially when it came to nutrition, so they built a system that filters the products by contents, such as protein or carbohydrate makeup.

The SuppSpy concept will be familiar to anyone who has used similar services like PriceSpy or PriceMe for tech and homeware bargain hunting.

“Collecting all the data has been a huge challenge”, says Bellam, “but a focus on accuracy has always been our number one priority”. “Our team’s strength is in user experience. Our service gives consumers simplicity and speed, without all the noise and confusion of other supplement sites” says Kirkwood. “We’ve paid attention to every detail, including shipping and price matching options for each store” he adds.

SuppSpy is currently comparing 2500+ products from over 150 retailers in NZ and has plans to add support for coupons, price tracking, and supplement stacks next.
