Tēnā koutou katoa, Greetings to all
Do you need grant funding for work that you believe will make a difference to the lives of New Zealanders, through the law? We’re calling for great project ideas through our first Expression of Interest (EOI) round for grant funding.

The Borrin Foundation believes law is essential to a flourishing society – one that is just, inclusive, tolerant and free. Our vision is of an Aotearoa New Zealand where everyone understands the role and value of the law, and everyone enjoys the protection and opportunity that it provides.

The Michael and Suzanne Borrin Foundation, a new $38 million philanthropic organisation, was launched last month. It is a generous gift from the Borrin Family to New Zealand. We support legal research, education and scholarship through effective philanthropy.

We want to hear from people who have great ideas and plans for legal research or legal education projects that will contribute to our vision.

If you share our vision for Aotearoa New Zealand and want to join us in working towards it, visit our website for more information about the 2018 EOI Round.

On our website, you can also check out the five inaugural grant recipients to get an idea of the kinds of projects we work with.

Our EOI Round is open from 14 March to 30 April 2018. All EOIs must be received by 12 noon on Monday 30 April.

Please pass this email on to others, and share widely. We believe great ideas will come from all corners of New Zealand.
