Social media specialist Philippa Crick (https://getsocial.nz/about/) is bringing her online marketing expertise to Queenstown this May to support local business owners and organisations to ramp up their online marketing efforts.

Usually based in Dunedin, Philippa is giving the Queenstown community the chance to get the latest insights into three different aspects of social media marketing with three half day social marketing workshops: Advanced Facebook Training (https://getsocial.nz/training/facebook-training-for-business/), Instagram for Business (https://getsocial.nz/training/instagram-for-business/) and Get Found Online. (https://getsocial.nz/training/get-found-online/)

Each half day workshop will be tailored to help local business owners and staff to work out strategies for maximising their social media marketing and digital efforts themselves, without the need to spend big dollars contracting agencies or experts. “I understand what it’s like to deliver social media strategies on a tight budget,” says Philippa. “The companies I work with typically aren’t able to invest in big campaigns and instead need to build the expertise of their inhouse staff to keep on delivering results.”

Philippa has been working in the marketing industry for over 17 years and runs her own Marketing Agency, Cre8ive Marketing. She developed the training arm, Get Social, to specialise in helping businesses and organisations to be more effective users of social media and to utilise digital marketing to help grow their business. For the last five years she has been the Marketing Trainer for the Otago Southland Employers Association, and has trained numerous large South Island companies and organisations including the Otago Polytechnic, Dunedin Venues, Thrifty Car Rental NZ, Sport Otago, Otago MBA, Clutha District Council, the Fortune Theatre and the Otago Museum.

“I help businesses keep up to date with the changes that are constantly occurring in the online space, to ensure that where they are focusing their time and resources on strategies that will bring them the best results. Facebook for example is such an important platform for businesses in New Zealand now that there are 2 million users each day. Plus Instagram is increasingly popular with businesses as they realise it is an effective platform for showing a brand’s personality and connecting with potential customers. Keeping your marketing strategies for these two important platforms up to date is vital to keep ahead of the game,” says Philippa.

The workshops offer a rare opportunity for local businesses to get access to up-to-date expert knowledge in their own community. The workshop details are:

Instagram for Business: Thursday 25th May, 2 – 4pm.

Get Found Online: Friday 26th May, 9:30 – 12:30pm.

Advanced Facebook Training: Friday 26th May, 1:30 – 4:30pm
