Cloud-Based Point-of-Sale Software Provider Hires Former HootSuite Director of Customer Success to Scale Its Program in North America and across the Globe.
Auckland, New Zealand – June 04, 2014 – Vend, the world’s leading online point-of-sale (POS) software provider, today announced the appointment of Sharad Mohan to its executive team. Mohan will lead and manage the global customer success teams as Chief Customer Officer. With thousands of small and independent retailers who are operating on Vend’s point-of-sale system, this addition solidifies the organization’s commitment to the success of its customers across the globe.
Mohan brings more than 10 years of experience in leading global customer-success teams.
Before joining Vend, Mohan spent nearly three years at HootSuite as Director of Customer Success delivering customer loyalty and service to its nine million users. Large numbers of independent retailers are switching to Vend every month to streamline operations and grow their business. In his new role, Mohan will be responsible for leading company efforts to educate customers on the full capabilities of Vend’s retail management platform, enabling them to expand their operations across new channels, and open new storefronts.

At HootSuite, Mohan led the Global Customer Service team, Professional Services team, and Customer Success programs where he was responsible for identifying and implementing improvements to drive customer expansion and success across channels, segments, and products.
