Record Start to 2013 for Audi
Audi has had an outstanding start to the year with sales figures in New Zealand reaching an all time high in both January and February, on the back of a record 2013 for Audi sales worldwide.
Audi topped its luxury car sales in New Zealand with 163 vehicles registered in February, following an already record January with 158 vehicles registered, resulting in growth for the same 2012 period of 41%.
Audi General Manager Dean Sheed says, „It has been a great start to the year for the Audi team, and we are buoyed by the ever-increasing enthusiasm for the brand in New Zealand.“
February sales for Audi of New Zealand indicate strong customer acceptance for Audi Open Haus, the brand‘s first month-long retail sale where packages at 2.9% finance were on offer throughout the month.
„The delivery of a comprehensive range of cars, from the A1 to the R8, including the popular RS 4 and S models has also contributed to solid growth for Audi in New Zealand,“ adds Sheed.
Globally, Audi recorded a volume sales increase for February of 27.5% year on year, with January to February year to date sales up 17.2%, a reflection of the brand‘s growth in all regions of the world. February is the 26th consecutive month of record sales for Audi worldwide.
Annual statistics for the Asia-Pacific market rose impressively by 33%, suggesting the luxury vehicle market is holding steady in economic uncertainty.
Sheed says the growth trend is set to continue with upcoming launches for the Audi SQ5 and Bi turbo TDI as well as the RS Q3 and RS 6 models, all reflecting Audi’s positioning of innovation and design.
„We are looking forward to some exciting examples of Audi’s renowned design innovation in the upcoming models and we can’t wait to introduce them in New Zealand,“ says Sheed.
