Telecom Retail Appoints Two New General Managers

Telecom has announced the appointment of two new General Managers to help lead its Retail business.
Grant McBeath who joins as General Manager Sales, has most recently led a large team based in Thailand as Managing Director Thailand and Emerging Asia at Nokia.
He has also held a series of significant senior positions with the company across Singapore, Australia and New Zealand over the past nine years. His roles included Heading Sales Operations across the South East Asia region; Managing Director and General Manager roles as well as Head of Sales across Australia and New Zealand.
Prior to joining Nokia, Mr McBeath worked for Cadbury NZ, Chevron Texaco UK and Coca Cola Amatil. He has an MBA from the Helsinki School of Economics and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Auckland.
Telecom’s CEO Retail, Chris Quin, says he is delighted to have Grant on board.
“Grant has significant accomplishments including leading and developing exceptional teams combined with a solid track record of delivering strong revenue growth in the markets he has operated in. We’re excited to have him on board leading our retail sales team including our Telecom Retail Stores and Business Hubs across New Zealand.”
Additionally, Kellie Nathan has been appointed to the position of General Manager Brand, Communications and Digital.
Kellie brings with her almost 20 years’ experience across the FMCG, telecommunications and digital media industries in New Zealand. The majority of her career has been spent in senior marketing roles, leading all facets of marketing including brand management, advertising and communications, digital, market research and product management.
Kellie returns to Telecom having first worked for the company in 2005 as Head of Communications and Brand. More recently she spent four years at Yellow Pages, initially joining as a marketing director and then heading up the brand’s business transformation team. This saw her leading teams responsible for digital media, marketing, sales, HR and change management, IT and technology.
She has a Bachelor of Business Studies in Marketing from Massey University.
Telecom’s Chief Marketing Officer Jason Paris says is he delighted to re-welcome Kellie to Telecom and notes her arrival comes at an important point for the business.
