We Are thrilled to announce three new company members who will play key roles in the delivery of The New Zealand Dance Company’s 2013 activity.
Janelle McKenzie has held key programming and operational roles for leading arts organisations across Australasia, most recently Producer for Programming and Artistic Development at Arts Centre Melbourne. She brings a wealth of experience to the company, with previous roles at the Commonwealth Festival (Perth), Perth International Arts Festival, Musica Viva Australia, New Zealand International Arts Festival and Taranaki Arts Festival, among others.
Marketing & Communications Manager
Recently relocating to Auckland from Australia, Linly Goh has many years experience working in the arts and government sectors, including marketing and communication roles at leading Australian arts festivals and events such as Sydney Festival, Sydney Writers’ Festival, Darwin Festival and the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games.
Rachel Atkinson attended The New Zealand School of Dance and worked as a professional dancer, choreographer and dance teacher before turning her focus towards administration. She brings her diverse administrative, coordination and education experience to this role.
Other changes at NZDC
Previously Operations Manager, Roger Christensen has now been appointed Company Manager. In this capacity, Roger will have responsibility for all producing functions of the company and will assist the Leadership Team in the day-to-day operations of the organisation.
Founding General Manager, Frances Turner is now serving on the NZDC Board as a Trustee and Acting General Manager, Yee Yang ‘Square’ Lee will return to his former role as the company’s Web Developer and Tech Adviser in early February.
Sadly, we are also farewelling three team members who were instrumental in the growth and success of NZDC in 2012: Development Manager, Jenny Hutchings; Language of Living Producer, Yasmin Farry; and Rotunda Development Season Producer, Roger King.
