New Fleetwise GM tasked with driving company forward

New Zealand’s leading independent fleet management company, Fleetwise, has appointed well-known Manawatu business administrator Martin Carr to the role of General Manager – Operations.

Fleetwise director, Abby Taylor, says Martin’s wealth of business experience and accounting background made him an obvious choice for the newly developed role as the company looks to strengthen its primary position within the national fleet management market.

“Martin is a well-known and highly respected businessman who brings a fresh pair of eyes and a complementary skill set to Fleetwise at a time when we’re looking to grow key aspects of our operation,” says Abby.

The Palmerston North-based company recently won significant new business with two more government fleets, and forecasts further growth in both the government and private sectors in 2013.

Martin says he’s looking forward to stepping into the new role – particularly at this point in the company’s lifespan.

“Fleetwise has a very innovative approach to fleet management. Its combination of industry and practical knowledge, innovative and strategic thinking, and ability to provide transparency for the customer is fantastic, and I’m excited to be part of such a forward-thinking organisation.”

Martin starts in his new role as General Manager – Operations at Fleetwise on Monday, 10 December
