Feb. 10 (BusinessDesk) – Bayleys, the family-owned real estate company, has re-integrated three of its North Shore franchisee-owned residential sales offices into its parent company operations.
The family-owned Bayley’s core operation acquired three branches in Takapuna, Mairangi Bay and Albany, previously owned by Stanaway Real Estate. The integration doesn’t involve any changes to the company’s commercial and industrial sales.
“As far as the public appearance of Bayleys operations on the North Shore, and the service that our customers receive, vendors and potential sellers will not notice any difference or changes,” said Mike Bayley, managing director.
Industry sources say the move is consistent with Bayleys’ apparent preference to maintain tight family control on the national real estate business. The Stan amid speculation it has suffered to gain control of residential sales on the North Shore, where the Stanaway-owned Bayley’s franchise has experienced strong competition from Martin Cooper of Cooper & Co, a Harcourts franchise owner.
Bayleys purchased five Ray White branches in Avondale, Mt Albert, Mt Eden, Point Chevalier and Sandringham last year.
