Andrew Technologies, a small company run by Andrew Carl of Hamilton has announced the creation of new software that will be available in New Zealand next week. He will create a single page on his business domain whereby New Zealanders will be able to view all US television shows on a single site.
He does not plan on charging a fee for his NZ visitors. “It’s a great idea”, says company founder Andrew Carl. “I think most New Zealanders are fascinated with what’s on television in the US. For example, let’s say someone in Coromandel wants to know what an american is seeing on TV in Kansas. Then they simply visit the page I will create and it will give them that option. This is an alternative to other paid systems – but mine will be free as I’ve obtained subscriptions from major US cable providers such as comcast and verizon”
This software, which he has called kiwiViewUS, will be published a week from today. He is excited at the idea of New Zealanders being able to watch anything that’s viewable in the United States. “Obviously, one can use paid-for services in New Zealand to get a limited version of what’s on in the US. The problem with that is you don’t get to see everything that’s available in the US. What I’m doing is making use of existing streams available online together with a subscription I’ve paid for myself with US major cable outlets such as comcast and verizon”. His service, kiwiViewUS, will be available next week on his company domain, and he does not plan on charging fees for his visitors.
